Firing Tuesday 17 November - Wednesday 18 November 2020
Finally, the Melbourne pandemic broke, our numbers of new infections resembled 'donuts' or zero and I was able to leave the 'ring of iron' to visit Sandra Bowkett and complete a second firing before summer descends and the land is too dry to fire.
This work was made at my temporary studio/teaching desk in my lounge room, during the hard months of lockdown.
I reflected on the landscape of Tallarook studio environment, included granetic sand and pebble that I had collected from the studio track to include into my clay body.
It was a fantastic firing with Sandra Bowkett and Lene Kuhl Jakobsen with excellent colour results.
